Pilat&Pilat furniture is robust, Frisian and durable. But at the same time warm, rich and familiar. And with good reason, all models are named after a member of the family.
Pilat&Pilat is all about people. It is good that Pilat is one big family. Meanwhile, the Pilat&Pilat Famylje collection (Famylje is the Frisian word for "family") features many different furniture designs. The tribal PakeSytse, whose name was given to a sturdy table with a bell-shaped support in 2012, came from a family of thirteen siblings. The founder of the Frisian furniture company, Gjalt Pilat, also came from a family of thirteen. Sometimes a piece of furniture is taken out of the collection after many years.
If that happens, then I miss this member of the family very much, admits Gjalt Pilat. The names Lutske, Hindrik or Jelle may reappear in a new guise after a few years.
Since 1 January 2023 the prices of oak and walnut have increased by 8%.
